Long Day in Rome

Yesterday at 12:15 we got on the train to go to Rome. When we got there we took the metro (or subway) to Anignana (a metro stop) that had buses at it. We thought there was a bus at 2:15 but there wasn't  and so we waited till 2:30. We got on the bus and 15 minutes later we arrived at the airport. We thought our plane left at 3:40 but it left at 3:05. The gate closed 5 min. before we got to the airport.
So… we missed our plane. We could have actually made it if they would have let us in but they didn't want to. We did not get our money back. So we went all the way back to Rome thinking we just not going to go to Germany but when we got to Termini (the mane train station in Rome) we decided to see how much the tickets were to take a night train to Germany. So tonight we are going to take a night train and get there in the morning.

Venice

We are now in Venice!

There are small narrow ally ways and the roads are all water. People either drive boats or walk.

I would not swim in it. The water is gross. I don't think that you are even allowed to.

We arrived yesterday afternoon.

Today we went to the "Bridge of Sighs", "San Marco Square", "The Rialto Bridge" and saw other cool places.

The "Bridge of Sighs" is a bridge where some prisoners sighed when they went across it cause they were gonna die. Does that help you understand what it is? I thought it was the bridge of size.

"San Marco Square" is a square, or piazza where there is restraints, a few churches, people, and pigeons. There used to be tons of pigeons there and you could feed them but now they don't like you feeding them; so there is not very many more there now.

The "Rialto Bridge" is just a big bridge with a few small stores and you can walk on it.

We have been to Venice many times before.

I might post some pictures on my blog later so that you can see Venice!

I love Venice.

Neuschwanstein

Friday April 4th was my 13th birthday. My family and I went to Neuschwanstein.
It was a 2 hour train ride from Munich, Germany to Fussen, Germany.
Fussen is right by the Alps. It was less than 5 minutes on the bus to the hill where
we got the tickets. Then it took like 30 or 40 minutes to walk up the hill to the castle.
The tour was 30 minutes long.

THE HISTORY OF NEUSCHWANSTEIN
King Ludwig II(pronounced Ludvig)started building Neuschwanstein
in 1869. When he died on June 13th, 1886, they stopped building it. It took 17 yrs. Ludwig only lived in the castle 172 days before he died. Only ⅓ of the rooms are furnished. When it became a museum they put in a caffe and gift shop etc… for the visitors.
King Ludwig's bed canopy took 4 yrs. to make or carve. Off of his
bedroom, he had his own private chapel. In the living room there are 120 swans everywhere… on the curtains, painted on the wall etc…. In a few of the rooms there is the same swan statue thing.
Ludwig liked swans. The living room was dedicated to the "Swan
Prince" (whoever he was). His favorite composer was Richard Wagner. There was a cave sort of thing in the castle.

Here are some pics……….

Birthday Party

March 1st I had a zebra stripes themed party at my house.

I made and decorated the cake black and white with zebra
patterned sugar paper on top.

I invited four of my friends.

We played Pit and Freeze then had cake and ice cream.
After that we opened presents, I got a scarf, flip flops, a blanket, Under Armor head bands,
skittles, and some friendship bracelet making stuff. Then we made pizza.
While we waited for that to cook we painted our nails. When we where done we ate the pizza
and had root beer.

   I had a great time.
